History of Data and Software Upgrades

Updates are made to improve BayFAST’s functionality and to maintain consistency with the other Chesapeake Bay Program Partnership models including Scenario Builder and the Watershed Model. Generally, the changes to the Chesapeake Bay Program Partnership models result from the incorporation of new science as recommended by expert panels and Partnership decisions.

  • Your user name and password can be automatically emailed to you if the information is forgotten.
  • Emails will be sent to users that have a scenario, facility or cost profile shared with them.
  • Newly added to Edit Profile is the option to receive notifications of updates and scenarios shared with you. Once you log in, you can edit your profile information.
  • The stormwater performance standard BMP calculation has been updated in the Chesapeake Bay Program Partnership Models, including this tool. The minimum runoff volume captured is 0.05 inches and the maximum runoff volume captured is 2.5 inches. This is consistent with the Expert Panel report. In general, no BMP performance monitoring data is available in the literature to evaluate removal for runoff treatment depths beyond 1.5 inches, so this conservative approach was used. The runoff delivered to a practice is generated from a unit impervious acre, so the input value is for total acres, impervious acres, and acre-feet.
